We have done 20 cruises on Royal Caribbean and are Diamond Plus but we are trying Celebrity in November for the first time. I have already joined the club and have Elite status. We will be sailing on Infinity in a Sky Suite.

Any tips about ship, things to not miss, dining suggestions, status tips, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

The Elite and above event is not held on the first evening and when the Senior officers party is held later in the cruise. The Elite and above events will be in the Constellation Lounge deck 11 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. No dedicated lounge like on RC ships. A full list of Elite perks and events will be in your cabin. Enjoy your first Celebrity cruise.:champagne-toast:

Welcome to Celebrity, I am sure you will enjoy it! Since you are in a Sky Suite, you should have all 4 perks--premium beverage pkg., prepaid gratuities, internet and OBC. You will have anytime dining in the suites only dining room--Luminae. We felt Celebrity was a move up from Royal Caribbean and now my husband won't consider doing any other cruise line.

There's no longer any formal nights. They've been replaced with Evening Chic which allows for a more laid back vibe if you wish, or you can dress up if that's your thing. Only 1 daily announcement, around 10 AM by the captain and CD. If you've been on 20 cruises, you've got it all down!

Michael’s Club is open all day and until 10 or 11 at night. Because you are in a suite, you will be able to get water, sod, beer, wine and alcohol all day. It also has high tea in the afternoon.

We normally do grand suites on rccl, did sister ship summit a few months ago in a sky suite. Sky suite is tiny compared to rccl grand suite also had a tiny balcony. However loved Micheal club which was open from early morning to midnight, much nice than rccl suite lounge free drinks from early morning to midnight , very nice collection of free drinks several 12 year old scotch’s elegant room, suite restaurant was also really nice with great service , normal buffet is way better than rccl. In suite lounge concierge can help you with anything they also have copies of all menus from, mdr , to specialty and luminae the suite restaurant , you can reorder from mdr menu or luminae menu in luminae , we also will do infinity next March in sky suite again. Rccl normally has way better entertainment . You also have a butler with sky suite. We also really liked specialty restaurant Tuscan grill which I liked better than specialty restaurants on rccl.

There is a grill in the back of the Oceanview Cafe during dinner that will cook custom steaks, chicken, etc. We usually dine there at least once and take it out back to dine al fresco. Someone on these boards mentioned there is a coffee drink at Cafe al Bacio that uses a scoop of gelato, a great way to get a free gelato using your beverage package. You will also get one free scoop with your Elite benefits. We rarely go to the Casino but you will get a few match play coupons worth $5 each which can be fun. If you are a tea drinker Luminae only had the MDR tea bags but Michaels Club has the Tea Forte so pick one up before heading to Luminae if you want really good tea (they also have them at Cafe al Bacio). Try one of the iced teas at Cafe al Bacio, it’s amazing.

Tea-wise, for future reference they will serve Tea Forte in Luminae, but it takes requesting it a few times early in a cruise before they start proffering it. Because I'm not especially fond of tea forte, i bring my own leaves for use in the suite, but then do request TF @ meals.

Elite Benefits wise, I think the discount on unlimited wifi is the best for my needs, with the laundry, both bag and pressing/dry cleaning, a close second.

The Infinity is a fine ship. It also has what I think is the best pool afloat. The Spa Pool is an inside saltwater pool with lots of water action and tubes that shoot water down and you stand under. It also has steel tubes on the side that have bubbles coming up between you can lie on and get a ‘massage’. More than nice.

We usually stay midship but on M-Class ships, we go up to forward so we can zip up and jump intel that pool. Fantastic.

The Aqua Spa cafe is right there with nice light breakfast and lunch items. Nice buffet and MDR is open for lunch on sea days.

Make sure to try out the El Bacio area; great expresso coffees and teas and great pastries.

Enjoy. Great experience.

The thalassotherapy pool in the solarium is one of my favorite spots on the M class ships. Really missed it when we were on the Equinox. Looks like they may have the pool on the Edge, but are going to charge for it. Sure hope not!

The biggest difference you will find between the two cruise lines is to do with ambiance...

On RC the focus is fun and action, on Celebrity the focus is rest and relaxation....

As others have said there is no dedicated Elite lounge but even when we have access to Michael’s we will enjoy visiting once or twice a cruise.

If you would like a galley tour, a bridge tour....speak to the concierge early in the cruise.

Have a great cruise!
