Has anyone booked a cruise through the 3 days Promotion going on right now?

We just figured out the problem. Even thought I went to the Princess.com website and didn't sign in - it still recognizes me as a Captain's Circle member though my computer IP. I went to the website through a friends tablet and because they are not Captain's Circle - it gave me the higher prices. Problem solved! Thanks for your input. It is a great promotion.

Oh yes, we booked, as did several friends. It's an amazing sale, especially on a longer route. We booked Southeast Asia & Japan, Jan., 2020, 14 days, and received perks in past passenger savings, beverage package, pre-paid grats and OBC of about $1400 pp.

It's for sailings from Summer 2019 to Spring 2020, with a couple of exclusions.

Look at the pricing on the Princess website without logging in as you. The price could be more expensive. They are talking about past passenger rates vs. new customer rates.

I've been looking at the cruise on Royal in Nov 18 and the price without logging in is the same as price with logging in. We are Ruby level.

On our previous cruises we usually got rates $100 lower than without logging in.

Wow! That is a good deal especially with the OBC. Did the company doing this sale offer that much OBC? I've been on the website and there is no mention of them providing OBC in addition to the other perks.

Thanks,

Lori

Does this company offer a Past Passenger benefit ? Sadly we are not close to firming up our plans, so probably can't take advantage of this.

Doing a test booking and it looks like the site offers De Luxe balcony at $1649 so better balcony location than $1599 from princess. Same Princess price whether signed in or not.

Yes. I just booked a 28 night round-trip LA - Tahiti - LA. The price was the best I could find once beverage package and gratuities were factored in (and much lower than booking with Princess). The deposit is refundable and I will watch pricing during the Sip-n-sail promotion to see if it is a better deal. I think the 3-day sale is one of the best annual deals. I watch for it every year. I book through one of their franchises - not online or through their call center as I like to support small businesses.

For those who are taking advantage of this offer it does seem to beat the pants off of the Princess offer as there is no OBC or free gratuities with the Princess offer. Those are some pretty huge "extra" perks. It does seem pretty lame though that, unless one actually calls, the benefits of the promo can't be seen. Those just checking the web site will never see what they might be missing.

I booked through one of their franchise operators (I like to support small businesses) rather than online or through their call center. I was not offered any OBC. It's not mentioned as one of the perks so I wasn't expecting it. I believe the website showed two offers.... the 3-Day Sale one was refundable deposit, beverage pkg and gratuities, the other was cheaper but was non-refundable deposit and no perks. Perhaps they booked the 2nd option and got OBC? That kind of OBC along with the 3-day sale perks just sounds too good to be true, but if they got it I want to know more!

I wish my wallet allowed me to book a balcony to take advantage of the drink pkg. 🥂 So far we book ocean views, and even then I feel we should be saving the $$ by getting an inside. I'll wait for the 3 for Free and hope my cruises are listed.

We are also looking at the LA-Tahiti-LA cruise. I just got off the phone with one of the franchise operators and there was only a small OBC offered from the agency. I can get a significantly larger OBC from another agency and hopefully the drink package when Princess opens up sip&sail but they do not have the reduced refundable deposit. Decisions...decisions...

During the last Sip and Sail we booked two cruises - one of which was the 28 day Hawaii and South Pacific cruise you mention. We didn't get free gratuities or anything like that but having the beverage package included on a 28 day cruise was pretty cool. I'd never have paid the $1,600+ for the package for two but, as a perk, it was very nice indeed.

Would love to have you join us on this bucket list cruise! One word on caution..... if you make a booking now with another agency to lock in the OBC, you may not be able to keep that OBC if you later switch to the Sip&Sail promotion.

The good thing about the 3-day sale is that the deposits are small and refundable. If a better deal can be found during Sip&Sail I will simply rebook.

I"ve been to Tahiti once before almost 20 years ago. I've been looking to go back, but the cost today is much much higher than it was then - especially since a flight that long really calls for Business Class airfare. The kicker for me is that the price for a balcony on this cruise is about the same as Business Class airfare alone would cost. Throw in the fact that resort rooms there cost $700/night and up (way up) if you want an over-water bungalow, plus food, etc. and this cruise is a terrific bargain - especially if you enjoy sea days like we do.

Which one are you looking at? We are looking at the Island Princess on 4/11/18.

We're booked for Emerald Princess 2/1/2020. Despite having two other cruises planned in the meantime, this is one we are most looking forward to. The wait is a killer.

Pay in advance or pay as you go - I have paid for the package prior to sip and sail showing, since I know we are both going to have at least 6-10 drinks a day either wine or cocktails plus coffees and lots of water it still pays off to have the package if I had to pay by the drink for several days - especially in the casino I would spend a lot more paying for the drinks ala carte then paying for the beverage package

Very true...... but still for a 28 day cruise the PBP costs $1,932/per person. It's sticker shock and disbelief that you can actually drink that much. Then you do as you did and discover that for many of us we would in fact pay that much or more without the package. The thing I kick myself for is constantly forgetting and just ordering generic drinks.... G&T, Pina Colada, Margareta, etc. , without specifying premium liquor.
