Viking Ocean Cruises, Bergen excursion to the Fantoft Stave Church

We are scheduled for the "Lysoen Island & Fantoft Stave Church" optional excursion on July 1, 2018, from Bergen, while in port on the Viking Star ("Into the Midnight Sun" cruise). Can anyone tell me if we will actually go IN the Fantoft Stave Church? The write-up says "

It was all painstakingly rebuilt after a severe fire in 1992."

We were on a slightly different excursion to the Fantoff Stave Church from the Homelands tour two weeks ago. We did go inside the church.

The "elaborate carved decorations" are inside, so you would have to go in to see them. It's a very small church. Hard to imagine any tour taking you that far and not going in.

The church is open during the summer. When we visited in April, we could not go in.

If you’re going in July, you should be fine.
