Grandeur the worst bed mattress I have ever seen.

For those of you who do not like the "hard" mattress count on using a padded cover...just got off the Grand and had a new one, woke with a major backache!! Had to have mattress intervention!! Old or new still problems!!:eek::eek:

Wow I don’t know what happened but today we got a truck load of new mattress.

Replacing mattresses is an ongoing effort - seeing dumpsters full of them on turn around day is not unusual.

Tell your room steward you need a new mattress. Actually it is two mattresses put together and both of them are awful! Or if you don't see him call guest services and tell them about those mattresses. We have complained about mattresses before and they have been replaced.

I was on the Grandeur cruise from Nov. 30th to Dec. 9th. While in port at Cape Canaveral (I believe it was that port), my wife and I noticed a dumpster at the dock, next to the ship, filled with bed mattresses. They may be in the process of replacing them, but it does appear that those in your stateroom were not on the list for that day.

I have cruised twice on Grandeur, fall 14 and last August. I slept very well during both.

But think about it, even a small ship like Grandeur carries over 2000 passengers. Do you think that ANY mattress would be OK for 2000 different people?

I have lower back issues, and it is MUCH worse with an overly soft mattress.

I just booked my 4th.consecutive cruise with the same cabin because I love the firm mattress in the room.
