GJCruiser Posted December 13, 2017 #26 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Looking for reputable agencies for excursions outside the ship in New Zealand and Australia. Your help would be appreciated. Leaving January 13, 2018... You are best to join and participate in the Roll Call for your cruise. You are pretty late to start looking at excursions. Normally start at least one year out. Take care. Leaving January 13, 2018... We sailed on Radiance to NZ last month and was surprised to see tour options at the tender dock in Akaroa and where the shuttle bus dropped us at the Bay of Islands, which has not been our typical experience. We booked our tour in Dunedin in advance with Viator tours. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
StLouisCruisers Posted December 14, 2017 #29 Share Posted December 14, 2017 We booked a tour in Dunedin with Good Company Tours. We brought all our medications in plastic bags, no pharmacy labels, nothing. Nobody said a thing to us about seeing our medications or doctor's letter. Seems the Aussies prefer flip flops and shorts, every day. It was a little chilly to me for that attire but to each his own!:p

Leaving January 13, 2018... I've found Viator very easy and reliable to deal with. Here's what I've booked for NZ: Dunedin -- an Otago peninsula wildlife tour with "Shore trips & Tours" - not Viator. Tauranga -- a Hobbiton + Rotorua combo with Viator Akaroa -- a nature harbor cruise with Viator. Bay of Islands - we'll do the Kawiti caves glow worm tour, which leaves every 20-30 min, so actually no need to pre-book. The "big" cities - Auckland & Wellington - still pondering. May be DIY.
