Grandeur Of The Seas!

We will be going on the 12 night cruise on Dec. 9th. Grandeur's Maiden Voyage was December 14th 1996. She will be 21!! I was wondering if there would be any kind of special events during our cruise? Has anyone been on a Maiden Voyage Anniversary day? TIA:D:ship:

I have never heard of them doing anything special to commemorate maiden voyages and 21 is not even a significant year (like 25 or 50 would be)

We were on the Grandeur this past December when they celebrated their 20th Anniversary. They had a big celebration in the Centrum. Balloon drop, special cake, entertainment, special crew members honored. It was really nice. We also got a really nice certificate for the occasion. Doubt there would be one for the 21st anniversary.

We are also on the Dec. 9th cruise. We cruise this time of year every year for our Anniversary.

Of course 21 is significant, the Grandeur will be legal to drink alcohol. :D

What Gwen said - they made a big deal about the 20th. (It was fun!) No clue what they'll do this year. Since the ship will be "legal", maybe there will be a drink special.

We are on the 12/9 cruise, too! Look for one of the dancing couples - not the really young(er) one (they have 10-15 years on us), and not the Lindy hoppers in matching outfits. :)
