Does NCL Pearl have self service laundry?

Only some of the older/mid-sized NCL ships in the fleet had handful of self-service laundry rooms leaving the shipyard ... they're eliminated & gone for 10 years, if not longer ... last time I saw one, on the Dawn in 2005. There're none on the Star by 2008 (if ever). Converted into staterooms.

Packets of Woolite or laundry sheets, wash sink in the bathroom for a quick wash-n-dry using the retractable string in the shower ... done, mission accomplished.

Or, stuff the bag for $20 (free in our case as our "perk") and let the ship's huge laundry facilities do the rest, just hold the delicate fabric & items likely to shrink or color-bleed.

A filtered search here on CC would've yielded this info from the 5% experts vs. doing a Bing or Google search in general. Besides, there are far better things to do to babysit one's laundry waiting for the washer and the dryer.

Be careful counting on the $20 bag full of laundry...it wasn't offered on our cruise in October on the Star.

Strange that it was not offered - did you inquire question about it ?

Maybe it was an unadvertised special ?

Usually noted in the ships Daily newsprint.

I believe it is offered only on cruises of 6-7 or more days and usually on the hump day (middle day of the cruise).

Experience I have had left with cabin attendant in the am and back in the early afternoon next day.

Everything OK except for those scratchy itchy id tags.

$20 is a real bargain.

Compare that to Princess and Holland-America Carnival with their coin operated machines - have to bring a

bucket of quarters from the casino and waste how much time waiting to use the machines washing and drying.

And don't forget the laundry detergent fabric softeners etc. then top it off with ironing some of the items -

as mking8288 noted you have more important things to be doing.

Leave the laundry until you get home and for the most part at that point it is free and done with your own

personal care and items not lost.
