Depends on agency. Hertz has an office nearby IIRC and also one in Long Beach.

Absolutely, provided you make the proper arrangements beforehand if you're planning a one-way dropoff. We recently rented in Las Vegas and drove down to San Pedro. There's an Enterprise outlet co-located with the Crowne Plaza, and right across the street is a Hertz outlet. If and when we do it again, I'll be trying to use the Enterprise outlet, it's a bit more convenient

Correct, their hours are not the best, especially for us cruise ship pax who often return on weekends.
