How about finding someone that can touch their nose with their tongue ? They must convince them to come with them to the check-in post. Too bad I am not on the cruise, becaue I can actually do this. LOL :D:D:D

We did a photo scavenger hunt on our Girls' Getaway Cruise last year.

We had teams of three and each team received a list of photo "opportunities"...some examples - posing with the ship's godmother, photo with someone from a specific country - this had them checking out the name tags of the crew members and striking up many fun conversations (by the way, they all loved being part of our contest), photo of one of your team members with someone wearing a t-shirt or hat depicting a sports team from your home town...you get the idea. Some of the photos required photos with you and your own team members - some were with your team and another team. This way we mixed it up and we didn't have all photos with the same three people in each!

Beisded photo opportunities on the ship, some were opportunities in port...example - photo of your team on Coco Cay with the ship in the background. This is where one team got very creative. Unfortunately we missed Coco Cay due to rough water. They solved their problem by placing a map of Coco Cay on the pier and each put her toes on the map....with the ship in the background...most innovative, I must say!

We had some first time cruisers as well as some seasoned veterans and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

They all really got into the fun of the "hunt" and at the end we had a terrific assortment of fun photos to add to our albums when we returned.

We had a great "Scavenger" type hunt while on a Carnival Cruise earlier this month with our Kids and Grandkids (30 of us). It turned out to be the highlight for our grandkids. We wanted to give them something fun to do on our last 2 days at sea. I provided a small bag for each of the 14 grandkids (ages ranged from 2 to 18 years of age) with a few items they would need and a stack of 24 postcard size clues they would need for the hunt. The small ones went out with their parents, and older ones grouped in pairs. They needed a camara or cell phone to take pictures of some of their finds.

I'm not a good poet but did my best to send the kids all over the ship to find people, places, or things. My clues were as follows:

Lots of people stay up late & drink too much wine, take a picture of a "Do Not Disturb" or "Snoozing" sign.

Find a band you liked hearing on the boat, Thank them and give them a "Thank You" note. Each had a blank thank you note in their bag.

Whether a Cup or a Fancy Glass, can you find us a Carnival Souvenir Glass?

The Officers of the ship guide us with charts on paper, Find one and thank them, and have them sign one of your Carnival Capers.

The elevators take you Up & Down. Take a picture on each floor with a smile or a frown. (Floor # has to show in photo)

Eating in the Buffet gave us a happy tummy, Thank and take a picture of Someone who made it so Yummy!

Winning at gambling can be so nice. Let's see how you do with a roll of the dice. Tossing the numbers will be so fine, but you can't move on until you hit a "9". (A pair of dice were in each bag, had to take a picture of their 9)

If you trip and fall and get a Boo-Boo, this is the place that will fix it for you. (Get a picture of yourself at the door to the infirmary)

Cousins, family, new friends you will make, How many people in your jump rope before it will break? (Each had a chinese jump rope in their bag and used as many people they could find to get in their jump rope and took a picture)

They make our beds & give us a smile, what's their name, have they been with Carnival a while? When we call them they always come, what country did they come from? ( each had a post card in their bag with a place for name, how long, and what country for their room steward)

With all the towel animals they can make, can you make one too even if it looks like a fake? (They had to use the towels in their room to make a towel animal and take a photo of it)

Go to the Disco an get in the "Groove". Show us a picture Doing all your best moves!

They can get you a soda or a glass of ice, Can you get an umbrella, any color would be nice. (bring back a drink umbrella)

Whether Choclate or Vanilla, don't get any on your phone. Can you bring us back just the cone. (Had to bring back an unbroken empty ice cream cone.)

They'll rub your back or massage your feet, an autograph on a Spa Flyer sure would be neat!

Throwing a Basketball let's make a bet, that you'll toss it up hitting nothing but net! (each had a soft foam basketball in their bag and take a picture of their attempts)

People all try to find a quiet nook, take a picture of someone asleep with their book.

Some are bald, or some too hairy. A picture of the hairiest back will be so..... Scary. (sneek a picture of a hairy back)

Let the Front Desk know you're a big fan. Ask them if they will give you a Carnival Splendor Deck Plan.

The Bathrooms so tiny, they say only one will fit. Let's show them how many will really fit! (get a picture)

Up and Down and all around, do you know where a Sea Sick bag can be found? (bring us back a seasick bag)

A Life Preserver will keep us afloat. Put it on and take a picture out on the deck of the boat.

Too much sun will turn you bright red. Take a picture of someone who should be back in their bed!

Get up on the stage and show us you're a star. You can become an Idol and go oh so far!! (Take a Picure on any of the stages)

Our grandkids laughed and giggled for days, and they got to explore almost the whole ship. They got to thank people that did wonderful things for them during the week. We all had a great time when we got together after we got home and shared all the photos.

Carnival puts together a very fun scavenger hunt themselves. We enjoyed it on last cruise Conquest. In addition to packed items, there were items requested found on ship. A lot of fun to play and especially a good fun way to intro to other passengers. So it should be held on first day at sea.

OMG!! I just went back and looked over all of these GREAT ideas from our last cruise. I am now doing another one for Spring Break 2010.. and am going to do this again. We all had SO much fun with the scavenger hunts! I did one for the adults (some things were just not for kids!!..LOL ) and then we did a kids one and they had SO MUCH FUN!! Im going to use some of the ideas that came in after the last one. If anyone has any other ideas to add to..please feel free!!!

Cant wait to see what other ideas come up!! ;)

Would you mind sharing your "kids" version with me? I am organizing the M&G and there are several youngsters (6-16), that I would like to do something for. Im kinda pulling from everyplace and am going to trim it down, but would love one that is already youngster focused. You can email me at mrstocko@gmail.com
