Geraldton and Broome are quite small, and can easily be done without a tour.

When we stopped at Geraldton the locals ran a HoHo bus service, stopping at all the main attractions. I think they also had volunteers at various points of interest who were acting as guides.

In Broome there was a shuttle bus into the town, and we just caught the local bus to Cable Beach.

In Darwin there were people offering tours at the Information Centre where the shuttle buses dropped off. You might be able to book something ahead of time through them.

I haven't been to Exmouth so can't help there.

At Exmouth port you'll probably find tour companies offering diving, snorkelling or glass bottom boat tours of Ningaloo Reef. It's a World Heritage listed area and the snorkelling is fantastic. There could also be a day trip to Yardie Creek to see the stingrays. Google up private companies if you're interested in any of these activities. Otherwise it's a small town with not much to do.

From Broome there are a couple of full on ( 8-9 hour) day trips available depending on the time of year. Try contacting the Broome Visitors Centre for what's on offer.

Geraldton is walkable except for the magnificent memorial on top of the hill. You can walk up if you're fit. It's definitely a must see so be sure not to miss it. They probably run a shuttle of some kind these days.

If you have a look on viator.com you will find some tours in most of these places.

Of course a lot will depend on how many hours you have in these places as they are all remote.

The Willie Creek Pearl Farm was a place that we found really interesting when we visited Broome. There is not much to see in the city centre. The best places are out of town.

In Darwin the Jumping Crocodiles Cruise on the Adelaide River is great if you have at least half a day.
