Excursions

Past cruises we will often book tours on our own. I'm wondering if we should reconsider and use only ship excursions due to the hurricanes which may have affected local vendors.

Ports are: Aruba, Bonaire, Grenada, Martinque and St. Croix

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance and happy cruising.

Sounds like you're on our cruise.

We never book excursions thru the ship. The only port that was even touched by hurricane was st. Croix.

My opinion is that st. croix is not a done deal, I think it's just a "maybe" placeholder for now and may change to amber cove or a sea day depending on how thing look in a few weeks.

Only St Croix was impacted by the hurricanes. The others listed are operating business as usual. No reason to deviate from your normal practice. Agree that St Croix may change.

Happy cruising! We are doing almost the same itinerary on Dec 30 but are scheduled to visit St Thomas. We have booked everything independently.

Totally agree with goofy559. No reason to deviate from past practice for unaffected islands.

IMO, even for affected islands, all is needed is to reach out to a preferred provider and inquire as to their status.

For example, an excursion on a particular sailboat would not be possible if the boat was lost in the storm and not replaced.

Agree that St. Croix may very well change because of the horrid damage there.

No reason not to book with independents elsewhere if you wish.

Enjoy! :):)
