ms Eurodam and ms Nieuw Amsterdam in Juneau August 6, 2018

Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam will be making their Monday visit to Juneau from 1300-2200. Eurodam will be at the AS dock and Nieuw Amsterdam at the CT dock.

If I had to summarize this week's weather forecast in one word it would be "yuck". Monday through Thursday have a 100% chance of rain with Friday having "only" a 50% chance. Monday is supposed to have showers in the morning with a more steady rain in the afternoon with a half an inch expected.:( High will be 63F/17C and low 55F/13C. Sunrise is at 5:00 am and sunset at 9:04 pm.

Other ships in port are Ruby Princess at the FKL dock from 1100-2200 and Solstice at the AJ dock from 1330-2200.

So a lousy weather week - we've gotten spoiled this summer.

Looking through raindrops at Juneau is actually pretty normal.

I'll be here in spirit. While Amtak connect is far better than the wifi on the Westerdam, it still doesn't look like it will pick up the webcam. I did check Marine traffic which has the 2 ships close together but is 5 hours behind.

Got back just in time to see a good zoom of the Eurodam in Juneau.

And it is 63 degrees and NOT raining... I would take that over our 90 something and 4000% humidity today. ;p:D

Back to the Zaandam. I hope she's as good as she was 1 1/2 years ago.
