Can I bring an insulated cup for free beverages?

Although...even using the Carnival cups to fill our mug is somewhat futile--especially if you have to fill that Carnival cup several times in order to fill your giant personal cup. Each time you pour the Carnival cup into your bottle, you are likely getting your bottle's germs on the cup--which you are likely then putting back up to the drink dispenser to get more of whatever it is you're putting in the bottle.

There's that.

The little cups are small enough to not touch the spout. Personal bottles don't always fit underneath.

Yes--but you're likely touching the little cups to the mouth of your drink bottle. Especially when trying to put ice in your drink bottle.

My point is--using the Carnival cups doesn't necessarily equate to a germ-free experience, as the germs can still be transferred from the "clean" cup to the drink machine.

Even if the cups touch the bottle, it doesn't have to touch the spout. It's no different than going to any restaurant with self serve fountain drinks. You don't get a new cup each time and you don't put the cup right up to the spout. Does this guarantee that no one does it? Of course not. But there's also no guarantee that a person washed their hands before handling buffet utensils, or after using the bathroom, etc etc. The most you can do is be courteous by being hygienic and hope that others will follow.

I can honestly say that I always use the hand washing station while in line for guys burger joint and many people who are lined up after me do the same thing.
