The ship's excursion "Amayo Hacienda Experience with Lunch" was very good. Great view of the active (just putting out smoke) volcano in the lake. Lots to do ... riding horses, live music, cooking lessons, swimming in the lake, etc.

We've also just enjoyed walking around in town and going to a bar at the beach.:D

We did a sightseeing/history tour in the town of San Juan itself. We didn't want to do the long bus journey to other places.

It was very enjoyable, especially getting to see the howler monkeys in the forest. Some of our group did ziplining but that's a bit too adventurous for us so we just had a drink and enjoyed the view. We found it through TripAdvisor. The company is called Nicaragua Tour Network.
