First cruise... Going to Cozumel

Hi there! My husband..my 16 month old and 8 are going on our first cruise in January! We're going to Cozumel and I have some questions! When we get to the Port of call I would like to do tours but is it worth it? Because of my daughter. My friend suggested renting a car but I would also have to rent a carseat? Just trying to figure out which would be better. I've been to the ruins in Tulum before and would like my husband to see them but I don't really need a tour guide if the ruins because of my daughter that's alot of walking lol and holding. Or should we just stick to the shipping and beaches at Cozumel?

missalex, given what you have said I would recommend enjoying the beach and doing a little shopping.

I think that would be a lot of fun.

Sometimes it's just nice to enjoy a port without doing anything too organized such as a tour.

Suggest you spend your family time on the beach where your daughter may also enjoy the port.

Chankanaab Beach Park is a nice, family friendly place to visit. A short Lyft or taxi ride.

I am with the others here -- beach day and a little shopping.

Ruins -- doubt your daughter will like that.

Better off doing a little shopping either at the pier or downtown and then maybe a few hours at the beach. I think it would be a lot better than going all the way to Tulum with a young child. Save that excursion for a later day when your daughter is older.
