Going on your own you would want to make the 8AM ferry from West End to Great Harbor, Jost, take a $5/pp taxi over to White Bayand back ( or allow time for walking but that would limit your beach time), and take the noon ferry back to West End. Allow 25 - 30 minutes for the taxi between the cruise dock and West End.

So you could be in White Bay from 8:30 - 11AM and spend the last Hour at Foxy’s before ferrying back. Just be sure you have a taxi lined up to pick you up in White Bay. There will be taxis at the West End ferry terminal. You would then have a couple hours to shop near the cruise dock.

I cannot believe there is no return trip from JVD mid afternoon. Make it impossible to use unless you want to return at noon. 5pm is to late. Seems like a 2 pm or 3 pm would be needed.

The noon return works for familycruzer’s schedule.

Perhaps Horizon does add - or will add - another ferry to the schedule to accommodate cruise ship passengers interested in that mid-afternoon option. Contact them to find out...

Pre-Irma there were a couple water taxi options out of CGB, you may want to check in with the BVI forum on TTOL to see what the status is today. We used that when staying in CGB, very handy but more expensive than the $25pp RT ferry of course. One thread there lists businesses and island areas that are back open.http://www.traveltalkonline.com/ubbthreads.php/forums/7/1/british-virgin-islands.html

And of course a private charter with Mitch is another option if cost is not a concern or you have a few couples to split the cost, he is back in operation -
