Tripods on Ships

Does RCCL frown upon using tripods for cameras that don't take up a ton of deck space? We're going to Havana, and I'd like to set up a small tripod.

A monopod takes a lot less deck space and is almost as good unless you are planning to do time lapse videos.

I have done several time lapses and I have used two different methods to do it.

A suction cup:

And a homemade mount with a strap that I put on the railing, similar to this:

Cozumel:

Miami & Coco Cay:

I have a suction mount, the railing mount is a good idea. I have an action cam, but my main video camera is a semi professional Sony, so, a little big to mount, but I love these! Thanks for sharing!

You, surely would be careful to not set up in a spot that would lbock a pasageway or make passing by a risky spot that could cause somone walking on a moving ship to trip.

Or damage your equipment.
