Does anyone know if the salon is capable of doing a nexgen manicure? Thanks so much!

Since I’m now on board I can answer my own question. [emoji23] And the answer is no, only gel polish or acrylic fills. Securing an appointment is more complicated. I’m hoping there will be salons in port.

Try making an appointment on a port day (if you have any time). I have not had difficulty getting a nail appointment on any Regent ship. Had to look up what "nexgen" is. It ends up that I have had this done at my local salon and was to a fan. What are the reasons that you like it (just curious).

Hope that you are enjoying every moment of your cruise.

Hi Jackie

I have been using new gen for almost a decade. Love it because:

Nails done once every three weeks.

Never chipping.

Color always looks good.

At least 50 different colors

Great French

No nail breaking.

Easy, Peasy!

Enjoy your cruise!

Regards

Sheila

I have to ask, I got my nails done on the Mariner a couple of months ago and I bring my own polish, because I like the color. Anyway, the scrub that was used smelled just like curry. It was the oddest smelling scrub and my hands smelled like curry the rest of the day. Mind you I like to eat curry, but I don't want to smell like it.

Has anyone else ever have this scrub, it was also a very gross looking green color.

So thanks to Youtube I've studied up on Nexgen nails! Wow, what a process! But then I've never had artificial nails, so it sure looks amazing to me!

I was really nervous the first time I did nexgen, because I only had regular manicures for decades. No artifical nails. After the first, I never looked back! Try it --

Sheila

Nexgen is a brand name. I would never use a salon that uses the drill. It’s not necessary and ruins your nail. That said on a cruise you could do a gel manicure for a one time hold over until you got home instead of wasting a port day. A generic name for the Nexgen is powder gel. SNS is another popular brand.
