Reviews of the week: chosen randomly?

just wondering if reviews of the week entries are chosen by a drawing or other more technical ways? It seems lately that many of the reviews have been generic and bland with not much detail or thought put into them! Not anything that's earth shaking, but just something that " makes you go hmmmmm:o

I have had mind chosen randomly twice over the years.

I think the ones that are chosen go into a lot of detail and have good information. I also think that some get more views and that has something to do with it. Maybe a moderator can make an official comment.

They may but my experience is that they are random.

I'm thinking lately that they are at random. I write very detailed and helpful but none chatty reviews. You don't need to know what I ate for breakfast at the pre-cruise hotel. Two of mine have been selected (8-10 years ago), but my more recent ones have not.
