Veendam Verandah Spa vs Vista Suite?

We're looking at booking either a Verandah Spa or Vista Suite cabin on the Veendam.

The Verandah Spa cabins are $100 less pp than the cheapest Vista Suite cabins (BB and BC) and smaller (244 sf vs 283 sf). The floorplans look identical, so we can't tell exactly how the larger Vista Suite cabins are different from the Verandah Spa.

Anyone know exactly how the Vista Suite cabins differ from the Verandah Spa cabins? Thanks!

The VQ balconies were tacked on in a retro-fit and are much smaller than the Vista balconies. That alone probably makes up the major part of the area difference. On the deck plans it appears that the inside room dimensions are the same.

Also, the high-end 283 sf number probably comes from four cabins on the stern that have large semi-wrap-around balconies: 082, 095, 223, and 232. See http://halfacts.com/232-veendam/ and http://halfacts.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/1-vndm095201402002.jpg

These replies are extremely helpful. We are going with another couple on a Cuba cruise. We've decided to get an Oceanview cabin--the price difference on this cruise is too big for us--but our friends still want to get a verandah room, and this will help them decide which one to get. Thank you all so much!
