mrsdel Posted September 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2018 We will be arriving on the Riveria in Port of Livorno at 8am. We have a private excursion planned with Rome in Limo. They would like us to get off the ship as early as possible to make the most of the day's excursion. My past experience has been that folks taking a ship sponsored excursion have first priority to disembark. Depending on how many are going ashore early, that could take awhile. Any suggestions as to the best way to get into the earliest group off the ship? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Livorno isn't normally a tender port, so you should not have any trouble leaving the ship as soon as it is cleared.
MostlySunny Posted September 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2018 If it's not a tender port you can get off the ship when the authorities have cleared it. Sent from my VS988 using Forums mobile app

Rare pinotlover Posted September 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2018 Go to your cruise info and see if the anchor symbol is beside the port name. If not you won’t be tendering normally.
Tansy Mews Posted September 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2018 If it were a tender port (and likely this isn't), we have found we can gather early and get tender tickets. Just remember that they want your group there and ready to go when they call your tender ticket colour. They try to fill tenders with independent travellers. On our last cruise in June/July, our cruise director actually gave a couple of announcements helping us about timing - a gap in cruise excursions means this is a good time to go ashore, etc.
