Combination Juneau tour?

I really want to go on a whale watching tour in Juneau. My traveling companions have decided that we all must go on the dog sledding camp excursion (the one on dirt, not a glacier one).

Is there a company that would help us coordinate those two trips? We are in Juneau from noon until 9pm. My parents do not want to go back to the ship between the two, that’s a comfort level for them. If I can convince them it’s “one tour” they’ll be happier. They’ll also be a lot happier if the tour time runs from 1pm to 6pm, if I get a choice ;)

We are doing the railway in Skagway this year, so the puppy camp really needs to be in Juneau.

I love being the family travel agent.

Have you considered a bus / train combo in Skagway? We used Chilkoot Tours and did the trip to Emerald Lake with the bus up / train back. We made a stop in Carcross for lunch and added the dog cart ride and enjoyed it. Not exactly like visiting a “real” mushers camp, but we got the experience of the dog cart ride on dirt and to visit the puppies. Also the scenery on the trip was amazing.

As an aside, if you would rather go on a whale watch in Juneau, why can’t those that want to go on the dog cart do that while those who want to go on a whale watch (or any other excursion) do that? That is the beauty of a cruise - everyone can do what they prefer and then meet up at dinner to discuss their day. There is no rule that says everyone in a group must do the same things or even eat at the same time or location.
