Port Stop At Oman

For anyone who recently stopped at Muscat: What was the process for obtaining a day visa for Oman? Did celebrity take care or it or did you have too. Was the time lengthy?

We have an all day trip and would not want to be stalled in the port

I feel certain the upcoming cruises will be the first for Celebrity in the Middle East so you're unlikely to get replies from previous Celebrity cruisers. In my experience when visa on arrival is available for entry into a country then the ship has processed them with any charges, if applicable, posted to the onboard account. However, you should check with them to confirm they will be doing this...

We were on Celebrity Constellation which called into Muscat last December 2016. The cruise line dealt with the visa required for Oman. If there was a charge, it was only a small amount which was added to our onboard account (UK citizens). There was no delay in getting off the ship

We've also been on Royal Caribbean cruises calling at Muscat and it was the same procedure (sister company)
