sddsddean Posted April 11, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Someone mentioned that there is a Gibraltar wildlife refuge? Perhaps that's what has them confused. :D:):D Gibraltar Point is a nature reserve a few miles down the coast from Skegness and used to be (might still be) an RAF bombing range...which is why the wildlife liked it...no people!! It also features in the worst case of mistaken address I know from my days as a European truck driver. A Hungarian guy driving for a Dutch firm had to go to Gibraltar (the one to the south of Spain) and ended up at Gibraltar Point using his satnav. You would have thought he would have noticed getting the ferry/shuttle to cross the Channel!! Simon
Redrobo Posted April 11, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Nice beach, long walk to the sea. Skeggy famous for the first Butlins. May well be well attended with all the problems with RCCL and people wanting to cancel cruises
