Montego Bay Beaches?

My friend and I are going to do the horseback ride in Jamaica through carnival. That leaves our husbands without anything to do (we own horses and they refuse to go horseback riding on vacation haha :'))

So are there any Free beaches around the Montego bay port area? I've never been there so I really don't even know what to ask. If they can't find something to do there to relax then I may just book them the catamaran and snorkel tour.

My friends husband does not drink or I would've suggested the Appleton Rum tour.

It’s not a free beach, but doctors cove is $3 per person entry. Check it out on YouTube or here. I haven’t been there before, but I’ve heard great views. It’s also close to good food and shopping. My husband and I are headed there the week of the 28th

Thank you! I did check it out online and saw the prices too. I haven't seen pictures, but I think that's where the guys are going to go! I really appreciate your recommendation and after looking it up I can't believe I hadn't ran across that yet myself! lol
