Depends? Not to be flippant. But traffic in SF can be not that quick and dead stop. ls it a week day or weekend and what time do you want to be there? So how "far" and "time" have no relationship in SF.

It would be on a Thursday and we like to get to the port by 10 or 10:30

You would miss the major commute time into the city so I would plan 30-45 minutes. It could be less could be more. But if you have a driver who knows the city it shouldn't be any more than that.

If it were me, I would plan on leaving my hotel at 10:30, so as not to get in the morning commute.

If leaving around 10:30, you should arrive around one-half hour later, or depending on traffic on the Embarcadero, 45 minutes. (Best case scenario, zero traffic, maybe 25 mins? If you go in on a on a Sunday morning then I would say 25 mins, but you are arriving on a Thursday)

If you leave at 9:00 on Thursday, you might not arrive for one hour. It is so hard to predict traffic patterns here in the Bay Area.

And if there should be a bad wreck, forget it.

If you leave at the time you have planned it could be one hour.

I would leave after 9:00 AM.
