What is the weirdest thing you ever seen happening on an NCL ship! Just Curious.

Sailing out of Cancun on the Spirit several years ago, the captain announced the seas might be a bit rough. They were -- so much so that Lido Deck was closed. My wife and I woke up around 1am and things were rocking and rolling. We peered out the door into the hallway and there was someone in a frog suit at the end of the hallway who motioned for us to get back in our room. Strange, indeed.

We and our friends filled 7 seats at a Teppanyaki table while 2 strangers were seated with us. We began chatting with the wife, who was very friendly. Her husband would smile and nod a bit, but never spoke a word. After a few minutes, she explained to us that her husband doesn't talk, and he did not speak a word to her, us, or the staff the entire meal.

The next day we ran into them at karaoke. He sang numerous songs, and was chatting up a storm at their table with his wife and those around him. We never did decide whether to feel offended, or chalk him up as being a gigantic weirdo.

It's not the weirdest thing ever, but we happened to remember and laugh about it yesterday, so it's fresh in my mind.

This is probably just rude behavior but I chalked it up as weird.

Someone sitting in one of the specialty restaurants was loudly

complaining that there was not enough crab in his crab cakes.

Out comes one of the chefs who starts to apologize! Come on,

why make someone apologize for such a subjective thing and

besides you are on vacation, have a drink and relax. Weird.

Headliner on epic last month for howl at the moon. Woman lays a pashmina scarf across 4 or 5 seats, sits elderly parents on next 2 then lays child across next 3 with an iPad.Across aisle she places another scarf across 3 seats then has 3 teens in next 3. Adults turn up and kids decide they're off to sit at the front anyway. I had to take a photo I was gobsmacked

During the Tim Kaminsky comedy show, Tim starts cruising thru the theater picking folks to go up on stage.

Mid way thru an amputee hand Tim his Prosthetic leg, so he does not have to walk up on stage.:D

I thought Tim was going to pee himself with laughter.

On my last cruise on the jade, one day we saw 2 adults walking around in full length panda costumes (including a mask). They were walking around on desk asking people if they wanted to take selfies with them. I think they were passengers, not crew, since there was no photographer with them or any kind of escort like places with those types of costumes usually do. The idea that two adult passengers thought to bring large panda costumes with them weirded us out and we declined the pictures.

Three weeks ago (Escape 4/15/2017 sail date) when they pulled a dead man out of the water about 20 miles off the coast of Tortola. He jumped overboard around 3:30 AM, and a crew of four men pulled him out of the water around 7:00 AM. They pulled him out of the water in front of probably at least 1000 passengers all watching from their balconies and the public decks on the port side. Very sad indeed :-( Never seen anything like it. He was completely naked, except for a t-shirt... Crazy...

A couple having sex in the Thalosotherapy Spa pool. And didn't stop when my oblivious elderly Aunt got in the pool. After she realized what they were doing, she got out. This was on the Breeze. We told the Spa staff who did nothing about it. My Mom refused to get in the spa pool for the rest of the cruise. Money not well spent. I will never pay for that again.

Disney Halloween 2015 - grown-ass man dressed in a Minnie Mouse costume. I asked him if his child was dressed as Mickey, and he told me he was on a "solo cruise". No kids. Just...dressed as Minnie Mouse down to the white pantyhose.

Wow.

NCL Jewel 2013 one morning we were out on our balcony when the officers started yelling at someone above us. We looked up and saw someone a couple decks up sitting on their balcony railing with both legs on the side toward the ocean. He got back inside when they started yelling at him.

On the Epic, December 2016. While sitting at the bar, an announcement was made on the PA system: "Code Alpha" I asked the bartender what that meant, and he said a medical emergency... Fast forward about an hour, I was going back to the Solo Cabin area, and there were several security guards outside the cabin a few doors down from mine. The next morning there was red tape over the door to the cabin where the security guards were the previous night. I asked my cabin steward what happened, and he would only say there was a "medical emergency" Later that day, there was red tape on the cabin across the hall from where the original "incident" happened. Now I knew there was something more serious going on. These two cabins would remain taped off for the remainder of the cruise. I later found out from another passenger that they found a dead body in the first cabin, and in the second cabin, the perpetrator.

In 2011, we were sitting in our cabin one evening watching the World Series with the balcony door half open when a duck flew into our room. I'm yelling for my DH to call the steward. The duck flew away when my DH calmly walked over, picked it up, and put it on the balcony.

I like to keep my balcony door open on sea days (I cruise in an aft cabin) when I take a nap and I always worry that a seagull will fly in while I'm sleeping.

We live on the 18th floor of an ocean front condo in FL and have the same worries when we leave the sliding door open so the dog can go in and out.

While on a Boston to Bermuda cruise on the Dawn a while back, I had an interesting, if not flattering, encounter.

As per usual, DW returns to our cabin after dinner while I go to the cigar room for cigar, drink and conversation.

The first night there was a very nicely dressed woman about my age (70). We struck up a conversation while she chain smoked Marlboros and sipped on several glasses of wine. Her husband made an appearance early on in the evening then disappeared.

I learned more than I really needed to know about her. This was her second husband. Yada Yada Yada. Somewhere along the line she threw out that she had a couple of bottles of really good port in her stateroom.

I let that fly over my head. She had a habit of reaching out and touching my knee when making a point.

When I returned to my cabin, I told my wife that I had just met someone who wanted me to be her third husband.

Fast forward to the last night of the cruise. Same location. She was there again. She said she had seen me in the spa alone. I told her that my wife and I always went together. She also said she had seen me eating lunch alone in Cagney's. I replied that my wife had probably gone the cabin to changer clothes.

And then she gave out the line that I'll not forget: "You see, I've been keeping my eye on you".

I watched a man dunk his son in the Haven sundeck hot tub after playing with dad's sunglasses. The family was eastern European, 2 kids (3 and 7) who were clearly bored and did nothing but annoy other passengers as a result. Why they didn't use the kids' program I'll never know. The boy grabbed the sunglasses from the top of dad's head and kind of waved them around a bit, dad was livid and said something like 'you know what happens for this kind of behavior!', then dunk. And literally held him under for a few seconds. Kid came up crying, gasping, choking...no reaction from mom or daughter so I assume this is considered 'normal' for them.....

You're saying there was a murder aboard Norwegian Epic last December?
