Charge adapters for Lucerne Switzerland

Can anyone tell me with certainty what kind of adapter I'll need for Lucerne? Just need to charge IPhones and Kindles. I'm reading conflicting information regarding whether the European adapter will work in Lucerne. Would appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

You need a special adapter - Type J - for Switzerland.

You can easily get it online.

Lots of details on Google about the issue. Minor differences in size of prongs and shape of plug.

Oh, and Switzerland is 220, but most new devices automatically adjust.

Type C with the thinner two-prong round universal pins should work fine for charging those - you don't need the third Swiss "grounding" (earth) pin. The E/F thicker pins will not fit!

We were not prepaired for the Swiss connector. The hotel reception provided one. Kudos to them.

I was just in Switzerland and did not need that special Swiss plug. I think I used the Northern Europe plug...type C as mentioned above.
