I'm a first time cruiser & can not seem to figure out what port Carnival Freedom goes into (Colon 2000 vs. Cristobel). If I am looking at the map right, it looks like both are in Colon, Panama. Could any previous Carnival cruisers enlighten me. Thanks.

Carnival Freedom usually docks in Colon. The two docking facilities are not very far from each other physically, only about 2 miles across Colon. Don't think about visiting the Cristobal pier unless you are in a cab or a bus. I'm really not sure they would even let you in the Cristobal pier unless you were a passenger from a ship that was docked there. Don't know this for a fact, but I doubt that any vendors would be at the Cristobal pier unless there was a ship at the dock.

Unless you are on a tour, you would not want to leave the area where the Freedom is docked. Colon really is not a tourist town. The tours take you out of Colon!
