On a dec cruise to cuba. cant decide if I want to stay just 1 night prior to cruising and several nights after the cruise, or several nights prior to the cruise and none post cruise. So options:

pre cruise for 1 night: intercontinental or Marriott bayside

pre cruise several nights: want to stay oceanfront with a beach

do I want to stay post cruise?

Help!!:D

In this day and age, at least two nights pre-cruise is best to be prepared for luggage issues, missed connections et al. Realize that gone are the days of space on the "next flight."

We are FF on Intercontinental and Marriott -so a toss up.

In South Beach, check out Blue Moon (near, but not on, the beach), which is a Marriott "autograph" property.

Not big fans of Swamplandia. So, we'll always fly out of MIA the afternoon of disembarkation.

BTW: flying internationally? Never do less than 3-4 hours for international connections. Domestic? Minimum of 90 minutes.
