Jewel 8588 " Hump" Cabin

Recommended Posts

A few years ago we cruised on the Brilliance in 8588 - we are now considering the Jewel .

I seem to remember this cabin was quiet noisy with music coming up from the decks below.

Should we consider moving along the hump - are the balconies smaller ?

thanks in advance

Balconies on Radiance class hump staterooms are larger than other side-facing staterooms in the same category. However, I'd move away from the hump to avoid the centrum noise and occasional cigarette smoke coming up the centrum from the casino.

Hi,

I cruised aboard the Jewel of the Seas a few years ago in 9580 (a hump cabin). I liked the location and the view from the balcony. However, there was a lot of noise from the Centrum (bands playing, etc.). I think the decision of whether you should choose a stateroom in a different location depends on how much you are bothered by noise.

We are booked in 7094 on Jewel. How bad is the cigarette smoke coming from the casino? We have had cabins 8088 and 8086 in the past and never had a problem with noise or smoke but our last cruise was over 10 years ago. I picked this cabin for the large balcony. I can handle the noise but not a cabin that smells like smoke.

It depends, I guess, on how many smokers are on your cruise and how many of them decide to use the casino as their smoking lounge.

It can be quite bad. It shouldn't be, but it is. (oh, not IN your cabin. Outside of your cabin.)
