April weather Miami and Caribbean

We are coming from Australia for a 14day cruise on the Seaside on the 21st of April ...From my research it seems like the weather in the Caribbean is nice and hot in April, but not quite sure re Miami and traveling back via LA beginning May as to what we should pack ....also what is the sea's like that time of year for cruising, as I can get seasick in a Bath tub, so really prefer calm seas ;p

Weather in Miami is very nice in April. Will be warm but not hot.

Yes in April I would plan on summer clothing.

Now there are always exceptions but very high probability for summer clothing that month.

Cheers :D...and have you cruise the Caribbean around that time to know what the seas are like?

I have cruised the Caribbean that time of year.

It's also a nice time to cruise the Caribbean.

When it comes to seas though you never can be 100% certain any time of year. It might be completely calm but there is always a chance for some roughness.

I would pack a light weight wind breaker in case of rain. The Jamaicans claim April is their rainy season...and Miami is capable of thunder storms in April.
