Nassau Atlantis pass

Recommended Posts

We will be visiting Nassau on our upcoming Mariner of the Seas cruise for the first time. We will be there for whole day until 12 am. We would like to go to Atlantis for slides, beach, pool and aquarium

RC provide tour for 5 hours and atlantis has day pass for the whole day. Will we be kick out if we book with RC? Is better to book directly via Atlantis? Is safe to take taxi to Atlantis, we have one year with us. Does Atlantis provides towels?

Should we go pick a spot at the beach first then go to slide in the morning due to lines and go to aquarium later. Please advice.

Check out the Confort suites paradise island. Book a room. Check in at 8am and check out at the same time. You get 4 writbands with full privileges at Atlantis for a lot cheaper than Atlantis.

Towels are provided at Atlantis. Taxi is $5pp each way.

We have done this and saved a ton of money!

Agree. Comfort Suites, for us as we were there until 11pm....

Having a 1 year old with you you might find it hard to do the slides, as one of you will have to stay ground level with the infant. You may want to investigate doing one of their less expensive beach/pool day passes.

THIS!

I am not sure what a 5-hour "tour" is. Does that provide access or is it just a tour?

Book a room at the Comfort Suites. Its a lot cheaper. You will have access for the entire day. Pools and slides close around 7pm. The best thing to do is get a spot by the pools first with chairs then do as you wish. Depending on the weather and time of year it will be busy regardless of the time. Though in the morning lines might be a bit shorter. They are never horribly long though.

The aquarium is ok, they are impressive fish tanks.

The only reason to do it is for the slides though. The beach you can do anywhere else in Nassau or Paradise Island. You could see the Aquarium at night when access is not really restricted. What I noticed is they close off access beyond the casino on busy cruise ship days. So anyone can shop, eat and gamble, but not see the nicer part of the hotel and aquarium. But around 6-7pm that access point is no longer a checkpoint for room keys or bands and anyone can walk down and see "The Dig" or if there is no event very large windows to the aquarium.

I don't think the crazy prices they have for daily access or RC has for a tour are worth it. But if you can get a room at the comfort suites for $200.00 that is worth it for a day there.

Atlantis provides towels, taking a taxi is 100% safe. You can also take the water taxi too.

If you happen to have Marriott points, we were able to book a room with points at the Atlantis. It worked out great! Our cruise had to skip private island so we changed itinerary and were in Nassau overnight and actually stayed at Atlantis for the night.

We actually stayed there once and did the same. In addition if you have a 1 year old in the group it would be very nice to have a quiet, air conditioned space for nap time!

Royal excursions have buses that pick up on the hour near the big flag. If you miss the bus you think you are scheduled for you can either wait for the next one or take a taxi. Taxis are in the same circle.

Excursions to Atlantis are EXPENSIVE if you just have a beach pass or the aquarium/beach option. In the past we have booked either Aquaventure or dolphin/Aquaventure but on next couple of trips it looks like RCI is now offering a lot of tours that include beach access instead of Aquaventure. So if you want the slides/lazy river make sure whatever ticket you buy includes that.

An Aquaventure ticket includes beach and aquarium access - no timed access. Aside from one adult pool and some private towers you can go anywhere and stay til they close. There is a small child's area and some tiny slides in Aquaventure that you can go down with the 1 year old. Don't think I would take a 1 year old on the lazy river since some of the rapids and waterfalls are severe. By the way, food purchase is by credit card and you must also have a picture ID.

  • 1 month later...

We will be in Nassau on Sunday and I'm looking at this option for our day there (8am to 5pm) but when I go to book the room, it is only giving me a 3pm check-in. How do you get the 8am check-in option? Can you check in at 8am and just not go to your "room" and go straight to the resort with your wristbands?

I have never done the hotel for a cruise stop, but I have been to Atlantis a few times. One time I flew in on a Friday morning. Arrived at the hotel around 10:30 a.m. while the room would not be ready until 3pm or so, they still let me check in, store my bags and get access to the resort with wristbands.

Check in at 3:00pm should just mean the time your room is ready.

There is only the 3pm time. That is when the room is ready. We’ve booked rooms at both Atlantis and the Comfort Suites and checked in at 9am or earlier to use the water park, no problem.
