What’s the best place to park at or near the port of Miami. What the most cost effective and safe place to park near the port also?

Off site parking has been a gem for us. Allow an extra 20 - 30 minutes with cost being $7 - $9 per day, can’t go wrong.

I agree, we have never had a problem parking off site in Miami. Port of Miami charges $22 a day and at 21 days with is what we always sail, that is $462 just to park. Have used several park and cruise packages.

I didn't see that one can reserve parking at the Port of Miami or they don't have valet parking. Parking at Port of Tampa with valet was great.

Is there ever any back-up or scarce parking at the lots on port? I just don't want to have to back track and go off-site because the port parking is full.

Ask this question on the Port of Call board for Florida Departures.

There most locals and all law enforcement will tell you the ONLY safe place to park in Miami is the port.

Others may tell you differently.

Funny that a lot has to name itself "safe" parking:D

It's usually just a matter of people leaving (going home) at the same time as people arriving. There's no way of knowing where you'll find a spot but you'll find one.

I've done both on and off-site parking. I prefer to pay for the convenience instead of waiting for a shuttle ride to and from the port.
