Well hello everybody! Yes, crazy busy. As I've said before, by the time I get home, I just crash. That's when I feel my age. But other than that I do not feel like I'm going to be 60 this year. Had to go to the DMV to renew my license, new picture and vision test. I upgraded my ID to the "REAL ID" here in California. I do have a passport, but with this ID I won't have to travel domestically with the passport, I can just use the "real ID" driver's license. I was surprised that I wasn't charged more than the cost of a "non-REAL ID" driver's license. The DMV clerk told me that they were surprised, too, that they weren't charging more for the "real ID" license.
As I think I told you all, that my co-worker is now officially no longer employed with the city, but not gone.
We will be feeling the repercussions. Just got notice not to get rid of any documents electronic or otherwise that pertains to him. Which I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that was going to happen. He's one of those who places the blame on others and it's not his fault, for his inability to get tasks done.
We are slowly working on getting the trailer ready for its trial run, which may be just where it sits in our yard LOL. We tried to get the hitch done last weekend, but there was a problem with a part, so they had to re-order the part, so now we're looking at the 31st as an install date. I have to get some shelf lining material and some other storage stuff. We do want to change out the backsplash. The amount they provide is miniscule and so we want to add more to cover the whole wall behind and next to the stove. LOL funny thing is that the "backsplash" that is there is covered up by the stove cover when it's open. So we want to make sure the wall behind and to the side of the stove is protected and easy to clean.
I'm doing laundry and working in my craft room that way I can hear when the washer is done and get another load in right away. Once the first load is dry I can go out to the trailer and put the sheets on the bed, or at least I'm going to try. We have the original mattress to get rid of. It was 5" and too firm for me. So we purchased an 8" gel/memory foam mattress to replace it. Need to find blankets and other such bedding for it. Don't know how cold it will get. Lee had said that we could use our sleeping bags, but the sleeping bags we have aren't long enough for me LOL I'm sure we'll figure something out
I really should be working on my club's books for February, I'm not in the mood, but I better get it done before I hear from the President saying what's the status of an account.
Hope that Monday's doctor visit for Pinky sheds some light at the end of the tunnel for him.
Everyone stay warm, safe, dry, travel safely, enjoy the weekend.
Oeggy, please give us an update on Elaine when you have it.
