Cruise to Aruba

Is there a weeklong cruise that stays in Aruba the whole week? Thanks!

Stays in Aruba for multiple days? No. I have heard of one or two cruises that stay there over night occasionally, but not Princess.

For a whole week? Nope Celebrity does have some overnights on their 14 night itineraries.

Not on Princess. Not even an overnight on Princess.

The answer to your question is no. The longest time I remember being in Aruba on a princess cruise ship. We arrived at 7:00 a.m. and left Aruba at 10:00 p.m.

Money.

Cruise lines make a lot of money on board from duty free shops and casinos. When ships are in port, both are closed.

Along with... cruise lines pay for berthing, I'm sure they pay by the time docked, If one ship is docked for multiple days, then other ships can't dock there. If you are staying on the ship, hotels lose money. And besides, what are you going to do in the evening, other than dinner, the casino

I don't think there are any main line cruise ships that stay more than an overnight in port.

It's called a resort :D

Cost prevent ships from spending the night in most ports. As they are a direct charge to us the customers, and in general we complain about high costs, there will not be many, if any, in the future.

Royal in November is doing 8AM to 10 PM in Aruba and Curacao and 7AM to 5PM in Bonaire. Longest stays I have ever seen out of 8 or 9 visits to Aruba.

If a ship moved for point A to point B and stayed there for a week, how can that be described as a "cruise"

Although I enjoy the islands, but I also enjoy the feel of the ship moving and being outside at night. I wouldn't want an extended overnight. One overnight in Dublin was great on the British Isles cruise, but I'm not sure about more than that one a cruise.

Someone told my relative they were going on a cruise to Aruba only so I was just curious if it existed! Guess not!
