Hi

We are on the divina in sept starting Rome, going to Sicily Sardina, Majorica, Valencia, Marseille, Genoa. We do not do cruise line excursions and i am wondering how easy it is to get into Town from these ports. Are there any free shuttle bus, or is there a charge for them and if so how much. Does the Hop on bus stop near any cruise port. Can you walk, we are all in our seventies but can still manage some walking.

Looking for anyone who has done this cruise this summer for help, and how did you enjoy this cruise. We have sailed on the Divina before.

We did this itinerary last summer on Splendida. As to ports:Sicily: ship docks at the city of Palermo. All sorts of tours and hoho buses available at quayside which is only yards from the ship. We walked to the main street which was approx 20 mins but hot work. We took the free city shuttle back. We caught it outside palazzo Normanie(SP).

Sardina: docks at city of Cagliari. Free shuttle to quay which has loads of shops and restaurants.

Majorca: Docks a fair distance fro the cathedral. Shuttle is about €13 pp for all day. Local bus and hoho available just outside terminal.

Valencia: docks a long ay from city centre and there is a free shuttle to terminal. Very helpful staff in tourist info in terminal. Local buses just outside terminal. City centre is lovely.

Marseille: docks a long way from city centre. There is a free shuttle but quite a walk to get it. Buy MSC shuttle to Vieux Port as it will save a lot of walking.

Genoa: docks at city. Just across the road from the terminal is a metro and local buses. It's very close to the Aquarium but a fairly long, uphill walk to the city centre. City centre is nice but l would book a trip to Portofino next time. Enjoy, it's a nice itinerary. Ken

I'll add my thanks, as we will be taking the same cruise the week before the OP and I've been working on plans for each port.
