What gets a "stickie"?

I'm assuming "stickies" are the things near the top of the list with the push pin? If so, the ones on "difficult posts" and "clarification of promotions...." have had no activity since 2015. Perhaps they are outdated? Or are they up there to always have the information just in case? OOORRRRR.... perhaps people are reading them but not responding, and TripAdvisor is keeping track?

Both the stickies you mention aka threads are closed so no one can post on them.

 

I doubt those stickies will ever disappear as the are "guidlines and instructions".

 

Just scroll down. We have way too many stickies on this board IMO but it is what it is.

They are locked, meaning that while the Views count may increase, the Replies count never will. The "Clarification " thread was locked the moment it was posted because the Mods didn't want any discussion on it. In the past we have had more stickies, and while they haven't been deleted, they've been "unstuck" so that they can sink down the forum for lack of activity. Edited June 17, 2018 by catl331
