kcbj Posted September 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Am I the only tragic that spends way too much time looking at cruise related items in cyberspace I have noticed a few cruise ships in port on Google Earth and have found that you can usually identify them. For anyone interested here are a few: Delphin at Darling Harbour (ex Belorussiya I sailed on in 1991) QE2 at Circular Quay Pacific Sun in Cairns OV2 in Southampton Miami Florida - Liberty of the Seas, Carnival Triumph, Carnival Victory & Norwegian Sun Water park and golf course on Carnival triumph I've noticed a few in the ports in Europe recently following Dawn Princess. Perhaps someone might know them. Only 18 days, 4 hours, 23 minutes and 42 seconds until we are sailing down Sydney Harbour on Pacific Dawn instead of doing it in virtually reality. Rasa Sayang Posted September 7, 2009 #18 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Spirit Of Tasmania docked at Port Melbourne...not a cruise ship, but still a ship! Yeah, its a lovely comfortable vessel. Its funny to think that while it is just a ferry across Bass Strait, at 29,388 tons it is bigger than many cruise ships operating in Oz in the late '60s - early '70s.:) Times have changed. :D I'll be on it again in January for another quick trip to the Apple Isle [anything to get a sea trip ]
