farnhamville Posted September 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2009 Does anyone have favorite places to stay Stockholm and Dover? We love B&B but all suggestions would be welcome.
rhohea Posted September 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2009 We recently stayed in Dover (July 09) at the Best Western Churchill Hotel & Health Club it is an older style hotel and was having some exterior renovations but the position is excellent. Right on the water between the cruise terminal and ferry terminal. If booking, it is worth the little extra for a water view room. The rooms are a good size and have balconies overlooking the ports. But as I said it is an older style hotel. It is within walking distance to the town centre and great views of the White Cliffs of Dover. It has a bar & outdoor area at the front of the hotel to fill in any sapre time you have. They have a free phone for taxi's for the next day to the port. The night we stayed there it was almost full capacity and most were Oceania passengers. http://www.bw-churchillhotel.co.uk/

Friscorays Posted September 11, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2009 Some Dover recommendations: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=789543&highlight=dover+hotel Have you looked at the Ports of Call section of this site? There is lots of information there. www.tripadvisor.com also has quite a bit of information on hotels as well as B and Bs.
