We are ready to book our next trip. Anyone know why it is less expensive in April over May for the Freedom and Liberty? Looks like a $600 savings to go in May.

April is spring break month in lots of states. thats it weather is basically the same both months. Larry

Spring Break and I would avoid that at all costs, imho

May will be graduation time for many high school seniors too. College is out mid May so I'd avoid it also.

April is a great month for cruising the Western Caribbean. It's prior to hurricane season, the rates are lower than the summer rates, and usually the seas are smooth as glass. I say go for it!

Rates go up when school is out. Where I live school ends mid May.

Your statement is redundant..........but I will assume that it is cheaper to go in May. Less people travel in May due to it being after spring break but before summer vacation time.

 

Here in the Virgin Islands, tourism wise, May is the third slowest month of the year after September and October.

 

Someone commented about hurricane season. May is certainly before hurricane season also.

 

There is no reason not to reap the savings of May.

Hi we are booked on the FOS in the beginning of May. This will be our 4th cruise at that time of year. I like it better than April, and it is before the college kids are finished.
