Bus line from Roma Termini to Piazza Navona?

After disembarking Carnival Dream on a Thursday morning, we are taking rail back into Central Rome. Would love to meander around Piazza Navona/Pantheon for a couple hours before heading to FCO. What is the best means of transportation from Termini rail station to Piazza Navona? As it is not on the metro line, is there a bus line that might go directly between the 2 spots? Thanks for the help!

The easiest is the infamous bus route #64, which has stops at most of the main spots tourists visit in Rome, including Piazza Navona.

I say infamous because it is known for being a haunt of pickpockets, so if you elect to take this bus, put any valuables in a money belt or pouch, safely out of reach.

There are other routes; I'm not a big user of the bus system in Rome but perhaps someone else will know what other buses have stops at Navona.

The #40 express bus travels basically the same route as the #64, but makes fewer stops. It will get you there faster.

The downside is a little more walking, but in Rome that's not a burden, and it's not very far.

From the #40 bus you'd get off at either Largo Argentina (near the Pantheon) and walk a few blocks west to get to Piazza Navona, or get off at Chiesa Nuova and walk a few blocks east.

Excellent feedback. Do you happen to know how frequent either of these buses are?

They run a lot. Our hotel was very close to Largo Argentina and during our five-day stay in Rome in June, we never waited more than a couple of minutes for either. A very nice route that goes by a lot of lovely sights.

Use a money belt or bra stash and you never have to worry about pickpockets!
