beachbum6264 Posted September 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2009 What do you get with a Spa cabin that you don't with any other? Are there areas of the spa that you would have to pay for if you are not in a spa cabin? What about the steam rooms/ large showers? Dh uses that to get ready for dinner each night... will there be a "spa charge" if we are not in a spa cabin? Booking tomorrow!!! Need to know... thanks! Lady_Jag Posted September 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Hi! Here's what you get when you book a spa cabin: http://unofficialcarnivalwiki.com/wiki/Spa_Stateroom Any guest can book the accommodations shown above. Amenities and offerings available to all the spa accommodations include: Welcome Ritual Priority spa and cabana appointments including pre-cruise Concierge consultation Unlimited access to Thalassotherapy Pool and the Thermal Suite (Laconium, Tepidarium, Oriental Steam Pool, Aroma Steam Pool) $20 value per person per day Exclusive optional packages with special savings Two complimentary fitness classes per person (Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi) Carnival Splendor Spa-branded towels, bathrobes and slippers for use during the cruise Carnival Splendor Spa stateroom amenities Personal yoga mats and fitness bands for use during the cruise If you are NOT booked in a spa cabin, you can still use the showers, gym, and locker rooms. Steam rooms and T-pool requires an additional fee. If you absolutely won't use any of the above amenities, then don't bother booking a spa cabin, unless a smoke-free environment is a priority for you. If you THINK you might be interested in the pool or steam rooms, though, go for it! I booked a Spa OV cabin (cat. 6E) on the Dream for only $200 more TOTAL for me, DH, and DD for the entire week. (Spa priviledges are good for only 2 people, but DD is just 3 years old, so no biggie.)
Rare Essiesmom Posted September 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Be aware that if you book a spa cabin, you get the perks, but if you book a lower category cabin and get an automatic or complimentary upgrade to a spa cabin, you do not get the free spa perks.
