Shirley Heights

But, if you are cabbing it - you'll want to hook up with the cabbie for a tour because Shirley Heights is really not an all day thing. It's more of a stop on an itinerary.

Shirley Heights pretty much overlooks English Harbor and Nelsons Dockyard so most would also visit there. The heights is a really a ridge that goes out to a point. There are a couple points on the ridge where there are fortification ruins. There are hiking trails. There is a vehicle entry charge of a couple bucks. At the end is the 'Lookout' this is where the restaurant is. On Thursdays and Sunday (esp.) in the evening it 'rocks' as a island party spot with bands BBQ and a LOT of people.
