penetangjudy Posted September 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2009 We brought water on our last cruise but didn't bother on this one, the water in the buffet is RO(reverse osmosis) which is as good as you will ever get, we brought those plastic containers (2) and just filled them with water and ice, much more convenient. Your answer though is yes :)
Mskala Posted September 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Yes, it is allowed. I only drink Deer Park so I packed 1/2 case in my luggage during my cruise.
laffnatu Posted September 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2009 is it allowed? Thanks in advance:D The water is very good on the boat. I would never bring water. Just buy or bring a refillable bottle.
CRUISE0825 Posted September 23, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2009 I went on the Fantasy last month and the water did have a strange taste. I went on the Conquest last year and the water was fine. My next cruise I will definitely bring bottled water just in case.
cruiserbryce Posted September 23, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 23, 2009 yes bottled water is allowed on board...we brought it on Elation. While the water in the sinks and things are fine its nice to have in your cabin and not have to use the expensive big ones
Pegs222 Posted September 23, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 23, 2009 As other's have said, bottled water is allowed. I took 4 empty bottles on our last cruise and we used them through out the cruise. I just put ice in the bottles and filled them up with water everyday. The water is very good on the ship and it saved us from extra weight in our luggage. But even if weight was not an issue, I would have still done it the same way.

We were disappointed in the water on the Pride last winter, so brought a 24-pack on our week-long cruise in Aug. Luckily, the Splendor's water was ok, but it's better to be safe than sorry. StillPooh Posted September 23, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 23, 2009 We were disappointed in the water on the Pride last winter, so brought a 24-pack on our week-long cruise in Aug. I think rather than deal with the weight and bulk, I might just pack a Brita and filter the tap water.
Kurbanfan Posted September 23, 2009 #10 Share Posted September 23, 2009 is it allowed? Thanks in advance:D Sure! We always bring our own water........some people like the taste of water on the ships.........but not me...... Not everyone's taste is different......you can tell that by food reviews lol! sam1148 Posted September 23, 2009 #11 Share Posted September 23, 2009 It's a conquest type ship don't bother, just bring a bottle. If it's a Fantasy class ship, you might want to bring one if the particular ship hasn't been retrofitted with the latest filtration system. Basically, it all depends on the ship. The newer ones should be just fine.

Rare shof515 Posted September 24, 2009 #13 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Hows the water on the mircale? And also, where do you stash the bottles in (in carry on or in your suitcase)
Duncarob Posted September 24, 2009 #14 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Everyone says the water on the Pride is nasty. So we all brought a case of water. The porters at long beach refused to allow us to check this as luggage. We had to open up the cases, shove all the bottles of water anywhere we could in our luggage. Hondu Posted September 24, 2009 #16 Share Posted September 24, 2009 When we did the Splendor this summer, 2 couples ahead of us had 2(24pkg) water and 2 cases of Pepsi on a dolly going on board. They had to remove them from the dolly and put each case through the security scanner. No problem with taking them on board.

On our Elation cruise the water was ''ok'' but not fantastic. It may not have the newer system. I ended up pretty bloated though so I am not sure if it was from the water or the food
