cdkempton Posted October 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2009 Thought I'd pass along a little tip I learned on our recent cruise. After picking up breakfast plate and a glass of juice the only thing left was the coffee and no hands. Just grab an empty cup with your pinky and go to your table. There is a lovely young fellow with the coffee tray wandering around the Lido and he'll stop by shortly and fill up your cup. :)
alpal1993 Posted October 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2009 Are the tables set with silverware, and napkins?
cp556 Posted October 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2009 Are the tables set with silverware, and napkins? Yes, there are cloth napkins on the table, rolled up with silverware inside them. BTW, I noticed on our Ryndam cruise two weeks ago in the Lido that there were SIX uniformed staffers at the end of the buffet line offering to take plates and assist you to your table. Twice the Lido Manager himself carried my plate (and I'm quite capable of doing it myself). We were most pleased by that service. Frankly, I forgot about not having trays until I just read this thread....
Rainbow Bridge Posted October 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2009 The coffee cart on the Prinsendam also had juice and water - makes things very easy! G.

I don't know that I would have thought of that, so appreciate it very much. :D
2bout2c Posted October 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2009 You don't even need to pickup a cup. They have cups on the bottom of the rolling coffee cart.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 18, 2009 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Unfortunately on our cruise the coffee man and his cart was never to be seen when we dined in the Lido!! DH had to go and get his own coffee. And this was the case many mornings.

suse Posted October 19, 2009 #9 Share Posted October 19, 2009 Good thing we have a very new tray thread since the ventriloquist thread just appears to have gone "poof". Now, we can talk about the coffee cup and the pinkie. It's all good.:)
