Kicked off a ship.

Recommended Posts

Has anyone seen someone get kicked off a cruise ship. If so, what did the person/group do to get kicked off.

Also, do they have some type of prison cell that they can lock a person in until they get to the next port?

Regards,

Ross.

hi Ross, on our last cruise to Hawaii there was this bloke and he got pxxxd and wanted to fight security so when we got to Tahitti him and his wife got kicked off

they took his cruise card off him so he couldnt buy any more booze and he was confined to his cabin.....not sure about a prison cell

There was a drunken group on the Pacific Sky on the SE Asian cruise in March '06.

Three blokes and two women.

They were an absolute pain and ruined a pleasant drink in the bar for many people.

Anyway, somewhere around Langkawi they had an all-in alcohol fuelled brawl.

Everybody's favourite Captain :) Stefano Ravera threw them off his "beloved" Sky at Penang.

They were whingeing about how they were going to get home.

They should have thought of that before they made animals of themselves.

Many years agoon the Fairstar I was fortunate enough to be put in the Brig (prison cell ),it was a small room about 3m x 3m and had padded walls .I spent a whole ten minutes in there ,we wernt really that bad we just had a cabin party with our duty free grog at 4 pm in the arvo .Some bright spark suggested we see how many people you could fit in the bottom bunk.. 15 was the answer ,when appearing at the open door was security chief David Tutura . Helocked us up for en mins then had a beer with us later when he was off duty. Not a pleasant room ,wouldnt want to spend a couple of days in there as many have .

Signed (no more cain parties ) Wayne

A couple of year's ago 2 guys pawed a stewardess and then punched the security guard who intervened. They found themselves locked up and dumped the next day on Dravuni. Last seen on a float plane heading for Suva!

On Voyager Of The Seas in May this year the ship waited for a whole bus load of Asian people to return late from a tour of Rome. We waited for over an hour before departing without them.

The next day they arrived at the next port and were not allowed to board. Their cabins were emptied and suitcases packed by the crew and brought out on to the port. Rumours abounded about the cause of their missing the ship but I think it was something to do with passports.

This is a photo waiting to get on their buses home.

And that would have cost them a fortune. Serves them right:mad:

Just remember..

its not only bad behaviour that can get you kicked off a ship.

When Rennaisance Cruises went bust,

thats the R ships,

that we know as Pacific , Tahitian and Royal Princes at the moment,

the Captains had a message from Head Office

to head for the nearest port available to disembark passengers,

send them down the gangway and wave goodbye to them all,

everyone was on their own

and had to get their own way home.

I sailed in Jan 08 with my best mate on the pac sun from brisbane. we hadnt even left qld waters (was just of the sunny coast) when we saw the pilots boat coming to get the pilot and then police jumped on board and took someone off the ship onto the pilot boat with suitcase and everything... we went and asked around and apparently he got really drunk at port and then got agro and threw a chair threw a window, so they kicked him of... (we had only been sailing about 3 hours hahaha

I don't know if it's just me, but I find the thought of singles or groups being kicked off in a foreign country absolutely hilarious. Definitely serves them right for causing trouble.

I don't plan to do anything to get kicked of the ship. I do plan to have a good drink, but I class myself as a happy drunk.

I guess there would be a high percentage of people who get kicked off due to alcohol related incidents. People know how they act when intoxicated long before they cruise so the ones who can't handle the drink or are aggressive shouldn't drink so much.

It's not a good return on your investment to get kicked off a few days or hours into the cruise.

Thanks.

Ross.

Hi - we were recently on the Dawn Princess and rumour had it that a family were put off due to their children vandalising the photoshop area. Another child and his father were put off in Honiara (special stop for them) due to the fact that he had a bad bone break in his leg from running in the pool area after being warned several times not to run etc. (Funnily enough the next day in the patter there was a warning regarding this type of thing.)

We had near everything happen on our last cruise except people getting sent off but it got close.

On island night (we were warned we were going into a low pressure system on the thursday night but only really understood how bad it was on Saturday when we literally came to a stand still) so i think the people who had just a little too much knew what was coming.

2 of the dancing crew/entertainers were using a passengers crutches (the man had a broken leg - i presume they didnt steal them from him :P) anyway they were hugging as one body and they went down the back of the jogging track stairs on PD and crashed into the tables... The guy just left to go sober up i presume and the girl well, she was taken into the bistro with security and when she came out as she was getting escorted down into the boat she was dancing with people etc and obviously didnt know the seriousness of it all (judging by the face of the 2 security guards lol)

THere were 2 people who were not kicked off but removed from the ship for medical reasons... one person i believe it wasbreathing/heart related and the other one a young child stepped on a chunk of wood @ vila and they fixed it up the best they could until they could surgically remove it. WHen a relative was down in the medical centre they saw it and apparently it went through the bottom of the big toe straight through the top side.. Pretty nasty...

This is a very interesting topic lol:cool:

I must admit, I was a bit worried on my first cruise thinking we had to behave like angels and that the security guards were everywhere monitoring your every drink. This is absolutely NOT the case, the security are there but not intrusive and as long as everyone is having a good time and not causing any trouble they completely leave you alone. Good times and happy days :p
