TwoWeebles Posted October 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2009 If we take a few taxi rides in St. Thomas and St. Maarten with our 6 year old, will he be required to have his booster car seat? On a normal basis, I would never let him ride without it at home, but I cannot imagine lugging it around the ship and the islands.
cb at sea Posted October 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2009 I know there will be parents who disagree, but I wouldn't lug it, either. For a short ride, the odds are in your favor! Listen, we grew up without seatbelts---carseats? What is that!...and we're still here! I could see if it was a baby, but a 6 year old will be able to wear a regular seatbelt. Jiffymom Posted October 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2009 We never took our car seat. Especially for a 6 yr old. Just buckle him up and enjoy. It is only a short ride. He will feel grown up, What is the seatbelt law? Is't it 6 yrs anyway.
