woodley Posted October 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2009 I read the threads regarding suite passengers embarkation in Miami and LA and wondered what is the proceedure in San francisco. :)

InTheCruisingYearsOfLife Posted October 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2009 Is there no one with any info about this port?:) What's to say? The suite life in SanFran is like the suite life at any other port: You get short lines at the check-in, you get preferential treatment the instant you are recognized as a suite-dweller, you get whisked right on board, you get a personal escort fawning all over you, you get to say "Wow, that was easy. Would have been nice if they'd genuflected though." Then you go take some pics of The Bay from your lanai, and you check out the year (or, more accurately, the month) of the bottle of bubbly they had waiting on ice for you. 'Nuff said. woodley Posted October 25, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted October 25, 2009 Thanks for the reply although I must say I would never want or expect anyone to genuflect to me and I would never wish to do that to another.;)
kruzkid Posted October 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2009 The port of SF is much smaller and more crowded than LA and Miami.
InTheCruisingYearsOfLife Posted October 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 26, 2009 Thanks for the reply although I must say I would never want or expect anyone to genuflect to me and I would never wish to do that to another.;) It's off topic relative to the suite treatment for check-in procedures, but I think that once the cruise is underway, the butler will pre-chew your food for you, if you ask. The following emoticon is your clue that I'm just kidding! --> :D Have a great cruise!!!! ITCYOL
betsey Posted October 27, 2009 #7 Share Posted October 27, 2009 Hi there - I work at the pier in SF for NCL and others. VIPs (in the top 20 suites), are diverted to a separate check-in area for check in. This is past the security check-point, so if when you arrive, make sure to identify yourself to one of the folks monitoring the lines. They have a list of the VIPs and will escort you to the check in area. Have a great cruise!
