JohninDC Posted November 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2009 Sounds like you want to be downtown. The Holiday Inn near POM or the Hyatt are suggested by many on these boards. Any downtown hotel can set you up with one of those tours. Good luck!:)
eandj Posted November 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2009 Downtown hotels are closest to the port. Holiday Inn POM, Intercontinental and the Hyatt are the closest. They are right near Bayside Mall which actually is a good place to pick up tours. Or work thru the hotel. ( you may pay a bit more) Our family did the Ducks tour which everyone enjoyed as you get a taste of the water (and the home tour) as well as driving thru the Art Deco and South Beach area. We set that up ourselves. You don't start this one at Bayside.
nlond Posted November 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2009 We booked the Doubletree which says it is close to the port. I think the water side overlooks the port. Booked directly on their web site with a AAA discount.
